Jewish Education

The Education Committee of Congregation Or Chadash is dedicated to the Jewish education of all its members, of any age. We believe that education is critical to the survival of our Jewish heritage so we have crafted numerous valuable programs to meet a wide variety of needs:

Scholar-in-Residence: Renowned scholars and authors share their philosophy and expertise
Book Club: Members read and analyze literature with strong Jewish themes.
Current Events: Experts from legal, political, journalistic background discuss issues of local, national and international interest. Open to the public.
Rosh Chodesh: Discussion forum dealing with issues and interests of Jewish women.
Sunday School: Now covering kindergarten, our bi-weekly Sunday School will expand to first grade this year with emphasis on Jewish holidays and history.
Tot Shabbat: The little ones celebrate Shabbat with parents and grandparents.
Adult Education: Programs on Hebrew, Ethics, and other topics serve congregants who want to expand their enjoyment of services.
